Before the Conference

The conference is a culmination of a whole process. In order for everything to go perfectly smoothly, all of the logistics need to be prepared in detail, including establishing the exact programme and schedule, the number of languages and the most appropriate type of interpreting (simultaneous interpreting or consecutive interpreting), the interpreting booths, and so forth. AIM professionals will be able to work with you to provide the solution that best suits you on each occasion.

If simultaneous interpreting is chosen, the technical equipment (booths, consoles, headsets and microphones) must be in place before the meeting begins. The right number of booths, a console for each interpreter, and headsets for delegates must be provided.

The conference’s success will also depend on the interpreters’ preparation. That’s why AIM will request that you facilitate all of the available documents that will be dealt with at the conference in order to prepare.

Our professionals will request a written copy of speeches that may be read, and which at times are not available until the very day of the conference. While it is preferable for interpreters that speeches and papers not be read, when they are, it is crucial for the interpreters to have the text in order to faithfully convey the speaker’s message.

You can rest fully assured that the information in the documents facilitated will be kept as a professional secret.
